Getting started

A Specialist Dermatologist (FACD) can be accessed for your patients within days rather than months. When making out a referral to a Specialist Dermatologist please ensure either you or your team members send a copy of the referral to:

IMPORTANT:

  1. Please include your patient’s mobile number and email address on the referral.

  2. Also provide the name of your team member who will be present for the consultation.

  3. It’s also especially appreciated if you can direct the patient towards our website so that they can begin to familiarise themself with our options, prices & registration form.

    2. Our pricing

Once we have a referral

Once our coordinator has the referral, we will attempt to contact the patient to ensure that they’re happy to proceed with a booking.

Our Coordinator will then continue to contact the patient and your clinic to arrange the consult.

Ideally we can arrange for a monthly consult window of one hour, where you are able to schedule in your patients. The consultation window is completely free, it’s just an easy way for us to organise a time when your patients & our specialists can expect to do one or several consultations.

The one hour consult window allows for up to 3 patients to be seen each month. Or perhaps, if you are part of a multi-location Practice, your whole Practice group can share the consult window.

Choosing to select a consultation window option allows you to know with certainty when your patient will be seen. This is helpful when planning your schedule and assists Teledermatologist with scheduling your patients.

Primarily a service for those in the country, outback or islands, or simply where access to a Specialist doctor is difficult, the service of the Dermatologists is ideal for those in nursing homes or institutions such as special care facilities and correctional facilities.

Regardless of where your patient lives, access to a Dermatologist is now as close as the nearest internet connected computer, tablet or mobile phone.

Making Medicare Claims

It is more than just patient access to Specialist services which is improved. The Dermatologists also provide clinics with a new revenue source, by being able to claim the following Medicare items.

GP Medicare item numbers

The consultation can be conducted either with or without the attendance of the GP. If a GP or Practice Nurse is in attendance (generally in rooms) the item's number for attendance can be found here:
