About Teledermatologist

Teledermatologist was founded in 2017 to solve a straightforward problem: Australians can wait months to see a Dermatologist, and in much of the country there isn't one to see at all. Dermatology happens to be one of the specialties best suited to telehealth. With good photographs and video, a specialist can assess most medical skin conditions thoroughly from anywhere.

A person, not just a platform

What makes the service work is the coordinator team. A coordinator prepares your file, chases the details, joins your video call first to verify everything, introduces your Dermatologist, and manages what happens afterwards: scripts, letters and follow-ups. If anything is unclear at any point, you call a person who knows your file.

Part of a clinical family

Teledermatologist is operated by Telehealth Specialists Australia Pty Ltd and works alongside Newcastle Skin Medical Centre, a physical skin clinic in Georgetown, Newcastle. Patients who need in-person care, such as procedures, UVB light therapy, or a hands-on examination, have a bricks-and-mortar pathway within the same group.

Built for the patients who need it most

Our patients are across every state and territory, many in regional and remote Australia, and many in aged care, consulting with a nurse alongside them. Discounted pensioner rates and assisted consultations aren't add-ons; they're the point.
